This position will plan, schedule and coordinate all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.  In charge of Maintenance CMMS systems, data collection and analysis.

Position Detail – Responsibilities

Plans, schedules and coordinates all preventive and corrective maintenance activities – Study and manage work requests.  Analyze job requirements.  Determine materials, equipment and labor needs in order to complete maintenance economically and efficiently.  Ensure that when maintenance is ready to be performed, there will be no delays during execution of work. Develops a weekly schedule and assists the maintenance supervisor in determining job priorities – Keep a living schedule of work to be performed.  Planner to keep complete and current backlog of work orders, PM’s, CM’s.  Review backlog to approve the work orders and place prioritized jobs on the schedule. Publish schedule. Ensures that all CMMS data is complete, current and accurate – ‘Keeper’ of the CMMS system and Vorne. Monitors CMMS system ensuring all information is entered and checks for accuracy and completeness.  Trains all plant personnel on entering data and ultimately trains maintenance craftspeople on data analysis from CMMS data and Vorne. Identifies, analyzes and reviews equipment maintenance problems – responsible for identifying repetitive machine problems, parts usage analysis and discuss or recommend countermeasures for cost savings and downtime reductions.  Work with vendors on machine or parts resolution.  Identify problems and be involved with root cause analysis, 5P, etc. Assist Parts Crib purchasing and analysis – assist spare parts management cycle (cycle counting, purchase request, etc), standardizing of parts, consolidation.  Analyze where parts are going and why.  Ensures that plant equipment is operating efficiently and effectively – assists in tracking OEE.  Analyzes all metrics of OEE (availability, performance, quality) on each critical plant machine.  Identifies sub-par metrics and recommends, schedules countermeasures.

 

Position Detail – Key Qualifications

 

Must be able to read, understand and follow written and verbal work instructions. Visual aptitude – must be able to see with or without correction. Communication – ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally. Must be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to perform a standing job for 12 consecutive hours. Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12-hour period. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good planning and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure. 4-year college degree or 2-year tech degree.  Experience in lieu of education determined by maintenance management. 5-10 years’ experience in a technical or manufacturing environment. CMMS experience Understanding of maintenance machine skills, troubleshooting and understanding. Understanding of 5s, PM and TPM.
