Ingredion is hiring a Maintenance Planner to plan and execute unit maintenance activities, balancing operating reliability against maintenance costs while meeting safety, productivity, and customer experience goals. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and record-keeping for all maintenance activities, monitoring weekly schedules for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, and providing emergency assistance. The role involves defining priorities for equipment, spare parts, processes, or critical events with the PCM team, articulating resources to maintain production process availability, and negotiating production channel shutdowns with maintenance customers, in collaboration with the immediate manager, to comply with company planning and support business sustainability and growth.
Your role will be:
Planning and scheduling maintenance activities in the assigned unit including: identifying safety requirements, estimating time/manpower requirements, setting tasks, identifying materials and tools, writing technical information which may include Management of Change (MOC).Monitor planned and unplanned, preventive and predictive corrective maintenance in the field and workshop, ensuring compliance with weekly schedules and emergency assistance;Define with the PCM team the priorities for implementing equipment and assets, the needs for spare parts, processes and criticality of events, negotiating stoppages or being supported by the immediate manager in cases of major impacts, in order to comply with the established planning and contribute to business sustainability and growth;Periodically contact current suppliers or develop new suppliers, discussing issues of repairs, improvements, innovations or replacements of equipment, seeking information on best practices and component technologies.Interact with the PCM team with the supply department to clarify technical capacity and/or meet the needs of the area, in order to define the service provider with the most appropriate technical capacity to carry out the proposed activity;Planning and scheduling maintenance activities to an appropriate level of detail required for execution and identification of critical paths.Acquiring and maintaining in depth knowledge of appropriate company safety and regulatory rules, procedures, and policies, in order to craft job plans appropriately.Responsibility for managing the maintenance planning process including: all safety requirements, planning of work orders, managing back log, and scheduling work.Working with plant engineers to evaluate regulatory and environmental requirements including Management of Change requirements.Providing reports to management for maintenance activities as necessary.In conjunction with operations, coordinating delivery of equipment, materials and kitted parts to execute the maintenance job plan.Entering requisitions for parts, labor and services for planned work in SAP.Creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOM’s) in SAP following corporate standardsUsing SAP, Prometheus, and other maintenance systems in support of the overall maintenance planning process.Ensure the compliance with all plant regulatory, ISO, Quality, Food Safety systems, GMP policies, guidelines, standards and requirements.Creating job plans and standard job plans utilizing template and maintain in system.Debriefing with maintenance mechanics for feedback after completion of the job.Participating in Root Cause Problem Elimination (RCA) as necessary.Providing proper documentation to Procurement in support of bidding of work.Facilitating the weekly planning and scheduling meetings.Working with Gatekeepers to integrate production plan with maintenance plan.Support the Production area in internal and external audits, providing information or presenting documents relevant to the Maintenance structure, in order to demonstrate compliance with standards and procedures in the area;Working with Maintenance Manager on preparing and adhering to annual unit maintenance budgetMonitor work orders at the execution site for critical equipment, both from a maintenance and operational point of view;Review P1A and P3M, ensuring that the weekly schedule of maintenance activities, as well as the execution of tasks, are aligned with these methodologies;Provide support to execution teams regarding information from the SAP-PM System, facilitating interpretation and analysis for decision making and standardizing the team's knowledge;Create, control, review and execute PDCA's of maintenance plans ( PM's ) in SAP.You will need these skills to be successful:
Certification as: Any Technical Area (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).SAP PM and MM modulePrometheus Scheduling SystemTechnical knowledge about: Field maintenance practice. Maintenance and technical knowledge of equipment and assets in general. Maintenance planning and control (PCM). Maintenance management systems.Planning and Scheduling KnowledgeYour profile needs these qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling including shut downs and the creation of job plans for a manufacturing environment including food, pharmaceutical, or refinery industries.Use of KPIs for decision making and corrective action.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to conduct effective meetings.Capacity to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks.Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of maintenance practices.Ingredion Total Rewards and Benefits

$81,680.00-$108,906.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
