The Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to support General Assembly operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities to maintain optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong decision-making skills, capable of working independently within established procedures and guidelines.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
    •    Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity with internal trades and external contractors.
    •    Conduct equipment checks, analyze test results, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
    •    Diagnose equipment malfunctions and collaborate with maintenance teams to implement solutions.
    •    Ensure maintenance activities align with production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
    •    Utilize Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
    •    Maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensure timely work order completion.
    •    Collaborate across departments, including engineering, production, and procurement, to optimize maintenance processes.
    •    Manage maintenance resources, ensuring effective utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment.
    •    Drive adherence to corporate policies, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
    •    Apply advanced problem-solving techniques to address unique and complex maintenance challenges.
    •    Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to influence decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:
    •    Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proactive mindset.

    •    Demonstrated ability to work with external union contractors to achieve goals with time and budget goals.
    •    Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within established procedures.
    •    Experience with preventive maintenance planning and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
    •    Proficiency in using a CMMS for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
    •    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, using data to drive continuous improvement.
    •    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams and influence change.
    •    Knowledge of GMS principles and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing maintenance environment is preferred.
