Job Description
The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and supervision of manpower, parts and material.  This is an hourly, dayshift role that reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Detailed responsibilities for this position include:

Job DutiesCreate planned weekly maintenance work schedules which include: outage schedule; list of planned work orders; and resource requirements.Work with contractors to insure cooperation with department goals and effective completion of tasks.Maintain clear, open communication with departments/requestor to determine total scopes of work and the appropriate priority of work to be performed.Manage data entry, maintain equipment information/repair files, and support predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling.Monitor PM program and support reliability engineers as they develop and optimize scheduled PM work; integrate these PM’s into the daily plans of the plant.Track key planned maintenance metrics and communicate these metrics to the plant.Manage assigned contract work and assist in the supervision and control of all contract work in the plant.Requisitions parts and materials needed for work order packages and not stocked in the storerooms.Exposure to and use of chemicals, solvents, and cleaners common to mechanical work that may be hazardous and/or cause injury if specific instructions regarding their mixture, use, and disposal/storage are not properly followed.Ensure the safety of all personnel through compliance with occupational safety and health regulationsInsure that all PPE and GMP rules are being followed while work is being performed and take corrective action as necessary while monitoring safety and quality of work with maintenance supervisors and leadsWork independently and with other plant personnel to perform work requests and preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.Provide occasional off hour support to the unit.Job RequirementsHighschool diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment.Minimum of 1 year experience in maintenance/reliability planning & scheduling in a GMP/FDA-regulated area.Experience with Maximo or other Maintenance Management systems preferredProficient in the use of Computer software tools (Spreadsheets, Project planning, Presentation software, Statistical Process Control, Word Processing and Data-Base)Extensive experience in electrical, instrument and/or mechanical repairs.  Experience would include troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems, centrifugal pumps, power transmission equipment, motor, etc.Must be able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, walking, and reaching on a daily basisRequires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools and electrical test equipment, to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs in all buildings, and to work at heights.Work is performed indoors and out-of-doors year round, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards.ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
