Job Description

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

Reviewing work requests for accuracy and clarity and approves them as neededEscalating Preventative Maintenance issues to Reliability Engineer, for work that does not appear to be valid or well justifiedWorking with Production Supervisors and Superintendents in order to ensure that assets are prepared for maintenance work as scheduledWorking with Engineering Department to ensure documentation (including drawings, BOM-s, instructions etc.) are readily available for trades people, prior to commencing the workWorking with Store Room Coordinator to ensure that all parts required for the jobs have been identified, secured and properly kitted well in advanceWorking with external sources (i.e. rental companies) to ensure special tools, aerial equipment etc., as well as service technicians are available as neededProviding job estimates and follow-up to ensure they have been accurately met by the tradesWorking with Maintenance Department to ensure tasks have all the necessary instructions, tools and safety precautions for the job at hand Provides feedback to the Maintenance Superintendent prior to completing the work orders that were signed-off by the mechanics.Leads planning and scheduling meetings for line shutdowns and ensures planning for opportunistic maintenanceProvides training and support to maintenance personnel on CMMS as required (Maximo)Manages work order backlog based on equipment criticalityKeeps accurate metrics on performance of planning and scheduling and provides reports to Supervisor and Reliability EngineerProvides support to Corporate Reliability Team and collaborates with other IKO Plants as requiredParticipates actively in any new projects initiated by the Company, such as introduction of predictive maintenance, etc.Follows-up with mechanics and contractors to ensure work requirements associated with preventative maintenance, projects and day-to-day work orders are completedPromotes a culture that reinforces Company’s values and expectationsPerform other job-related duties as assigned

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

Minimum 5 years of planning/scheduling experience working within a CMMSMechanical background is requiredPost-secondary degree/diploma preferred.Adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirement and skills needed to complete a job. Must have a demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of workExcellent communication (written, verbal, and presentational) skillsDemonstrated leadership skillsGood organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to provide simple and accurate instructionsAbility to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings. Ability to sketch or redline existing drawingsKnowledge and understanding of the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processesAbility to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completionExcellent organization and analytical skills (problem solving & trouble shooting) skillsGood working knowledge of MS office
