About the PositionThe Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources (PRNR) Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for oversight of all maintenance activities, to ensure they are planned, scheduled, tracked and reported in an efficient and effective manner. If selected you will also be responsible for following established contracts, documenting finances, and equipment. You would interact regularly with management and be able to anticipate potential problems to ensure infrastructure maintenance and project/event support.

Organize/coordinate the development and implementation of daily, weekly and/or long-range strategic preventative, predictive and scheduled maintenance plans. Coordinate the daily corrective and emergency maintenance requests by shifting and reprioritizing existing schedules for in-house and contractual work. PRNR utilizes Maximo for their Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position requires the use of reporting and analysis tools to leverage CMMS functionality.Develop repair plans for maintenance divisions by reviewing work orders, clarifying intent with originators, and determining the scope of work for each job.Ensure repair parts and materials are received prior to commencement of jobs.Coordinate and schedule multi-craft jobs with other Business Units and/or outside services/vendors prior to commencement of work.Establish workload priorities to meet service level agreements.Develop preventative and predictive maintenance plans/requirements for equipment by researching the manufacturer’s maintenance recommendations or through special conditions defined through conditioned based monitoring. (Incorporate maintenance activities in the CMMS.)Through proper data collection and documentation, analyze historical failure rates to increase percentage of predictive maintenance over corrective maintenance. Assist with identifying, monitoring, analyzing, assessing and reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of all aspects of work performed and recommend adjustments to job and safety plans.Help to generate reports in a clear, precise and logical manner.About the ScheduleWork Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (No weekends!)
Work schedules may vary due to emergencies, split shifts, rotations, on-call, etc.
About YouMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field -AND- Two (2) years of related work experience.
-OR- Six (6) years of professional experience may be substituted at management discretion.
Valid Florida driver's license by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating a computerized maintenance management system.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five years.
Physical Demands: Employees in this role must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
About Everything ElseStarting Pay Range: $56,139.20 - $60,008.00, based on experience.
