Maintenance Planning Scheduler

**Position Summary:**
Under general supervision, responsible for moderately complex work planning and scheduling activities for assigned workgroup including reviewing work requests, preparing work orders based upon those work requests, preparing material requests, and ordering parts from the warehouse to support the work order. Takes into consideration safety aspects of the work plans developed. Works with regular guidance in own area of knowledge. Follows the requirements as outlined in the Colstrip Power Plant Work Management Process.
**Position Duties**
+ Reviews work requests for accuracy, scope, and correct failure code. Research and plan the work, assemble work packages, set appropriate due dates and priorities, track costs to budget for assigned systems and support the development of Work Standards and Equipment Strategies.
+ Authorize work to be done by analyzing new work and adjust workloads based on site wide priorities.
+ Review completed work activities for quality and performance. Coordinate activities that require more than one work group, such as baseline Predictive Maintenance (PDM) testing on equipment, I& E, or component rebuilds.
+ Ensure critical spare parts inventory and availability through completion of required software. • Review and track costs to the equipment and associated systems.
+ Perform Outage Manager responsibilities when assigned. Supervise crews for special maintenance activities when requested.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering/related , or 3+ years' of journey-level experience in maintenance field in a large industrial facility.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ Five years’ journey-level experience in an industrial maintenance field in a large industrial facility.
+ Good understanding of collective bargaining agreements
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work well with individuals on all levels of the organization.
