Maintenance Planning Superintendent - Stevenson, AL The opportunity: The Maintenance Planning Superintendent leads and is responsible for the Maintenance Planning Department\u2019s activities to continually improve the performance of production equipment availability and reliability. How you will impact Smurfit WestRock: * Manages all maintenance systems which include equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and maintenance records * Develops action plans to address maintenance inefficiencies and repeat equipment failures * Sets department objectives for improving safety, training, quality, cost, and productivity as well as development of the maintenance budget * Coordinates annual outage efforts * Oversees contractors and contract work * Develops salaried department employees through effective communication, training, and supervisory skills * Interfaces with all operating departments * Investigates problems to ensure efficient facility operation and determines root cause to prevent reoccurrence * Manages cost control for department to ensure that expenditures do not exceed budget * Coordinates efforts with maintenance and technical departments * Ensures activities are in compliance with mill, company, state, and federal policies and guidelines as it relates to the safety of employees and the execution of work. * Monitors behaviors within organizational boundaries to maintain a culture embedded in professionalism, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, respect, and trust * Supports and fosters safety and environmental compliance What you need to succeed: * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering preferred or related field with 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience within the paper industry preferred. * Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
