Maintenance Project Team Technician / Painter
Location: New Hartford, NY Category: Sitrin Network Posted On: Fri Sep 13 2024 Job Description: DEPARTMENT: Maintenance POSITION: Project Team Technician / Painter SUPERVISOR: Director of Facilities PAY RANGE: $18.00-$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience SHIFT: 7am-3pm Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to layout a project and plan work around Resident's schedules. Create a quality finished product while minimizing waste. Ability to install finishes. Ability to make minor repairs to doors, windows and fixtures. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Estimates time and material costs on refurbishment projects. Requisitions new supplies and equipment. Maintains a neat and clean work area. Serves as a working lead on some projects and able to train other employees to assist. Enters time worked into the WorxHub system. Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution. Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor. Typical Knowledge and Skills: Applies some complex skills appropriate for the position. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the requirements of the positions. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments'' functions. Ability to effectively communicate policies and or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees. Works under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Job Requirements: Education or equivalent experience: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience. Basic refurbishment knowledge of Carpentry, Plumbing, Flooring and Painting. Knowledge of infection control precautions in a healthcare environment. Basic knowledge of fire safety requirements in a healthcare facility. Must be able to perform work with agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more. Wear protective clothing required by the work environment or government regulations. Must work various shifts depending on project assignment. Must be available to work some weekends on a rotating basis. Works under minimal supervision. Additional Information: Charles T.
