· Ensure compliance with Transdev and RTC standards.
· Maintains quality standards within the day-to-day operation and lends direct technical support to the operating facility.
· Establish and maintain proper levels of cost-effective preventive maintenance programs, vehicles, buildings, and equipment.
· Perform random Post PMI inspections to ensure that the inspectors are performing quality inspections.
· Assist in Scheduling PM inspections.
· Inspect all repairs that are made before the bus is re-inspected by RTC.
· Perform random PMI repair inspections.
· Assist the Maintenance Manager in Monthly Environmental inspections and Reporting.
· Ensure Work Orders in EAM are Complete and Closed in a timely manner.
· Run Daily EAM reports for the previous day’s road calls and meet with the Maintenance Manager and shop supervisor to ensure that repairs were made.
· Run the daily EAM report for Road Call Repeaters, and investigate the root cause of the failure, and assist in making sure that quality repairs were made.
· Run Monthly EAM PMI reports and ensure all PMI reporting to the client is accurate.
· Work with the Parts Department on parts reports to achieve our goals.
· Assist Maintenance Manager and Supervisors as needed and cover when the MM is on Vacation.
· Work with the Training Manager to Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance training programs within the maintenance area.
· Assist in Identifying and assessing future and current maintenance training needs for location maintenance staff.
· Assist with the creation of testing and evaluation processes. Monitor and evaluate training programs' effectiveness.
· Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
· Resolve any specific problems and tailor maintenance programs as necessary - Maintain a keen understanding of maintenance training trends, developments, and best practices.
· Serves as Subject Matter Expert
· Audits and reviews maintenance records.
Requirements:· Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not essential.
· Minimum of 3 years of Maintenance experience (preferably in public transit)
· Direct experience in transit bus preventative maintenance and repair
· Possess ASE Transit certifications or have the ability to acquire.
· Familiarity with traditional and modern maintenance training methods
· Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding maintenance and safety
· Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
· Good verbal, written, and relational communication skills, with the ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels.
· Excellent presentation and facilitation skills; proven ability to successfully stimulate, moderate, and manage small and large groups.
