Maintenance & Reliability Clerk – Mendota, IL
Position Summary:
This key operational role is responsible for maintenance and operational reliability at a 30,000 cwt/day wheat flour mill. The ideal candidate maintains ADMs high standards for Safety and Quality with a heavy emphasis on organization and continuous improvement. Successful candidates will be good communicators who can nurture outstanding relationships as part of a self-directed work team. They will have the ability to identify and decisively solve problems as they arise and maintain records in accordance with established ADM policies.
Required Skills-Candidates MUST have experience with industrial maintenance, lubrication, and fabrication.
Job Responsibilities:
Job duties include, but are not limited to:Establish and maintain effective inventory control program.Document parts inventory, inspect incoming shipments for defects and/or incorrect parts and purchase orders. Organize out-going part shipments.Schedule regular PMs and certification visits that are needed throughout the year.Establish and maintain relationships with vendors. Create scheduled meetings with contracted MRO suppliers to assist with inventory, part requests, trainings and part repair needs.Computer work includes working with a buyer to create, receive and alter purchase orders while being cost-efficient. Review and approve invoices in a timely manner. Be able to correct and work with vendors over invoicing issues. Also be able to utilize programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.Order parts and equipment as directed and other responsibilities as assigned by management. Must be able to locate, source, expedite critical repair parts and recommended substitutes for unavailable materials and services.Support all departments with purchasing, services, parts and organizational needs.Physical work out in the elements. Ability to meet these physical requirements such as prolonged kneeling, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, shoveling, sweeping and ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury safety culture; understand and follow company safety proceduresThis position works directly with operations, shipping/receiving personnel, third-party contractors and requires an employee to maintain professional interactions and communication skills with various departments.Job Requirements:Ability to safely & accurately performHigh school education or equivalent is required.Prior experience or working knowledgeCandidate must exhibit regular and prompt attendance.Display a strong work ethic and professional attitude and appearance.Encourage professional team building, communications and safety practices.Ability to respond to emergency call outs to the site in a timely mannerExperience in an animal feed/food production facility or grain elevator is a plus.Ideal candidates will demonstrate initiative to work independently while being flexible to work as a team when needed.Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
