Pennsylvania American Water is seeking a water utility professional to join our team in Moscow, PA. Based out of our Lake Scranton surface water treatment plant, the Maintenance & Relief Operator will be responsible for performing day-to-day preventative, compliance related, as well as routine maintenance tasks. In addition to maintenance responsibilities, this individual will also serve as an Operator as needed. Our ideal candidate will have water treatment experience and/or have a strong mechanical aptitude with a maintenance background.
Position SummaryTo maintain, install and repair plant equipment and operate plant associated facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Job Knowledge
Two years experience in the water/wastewater maintenance field or other applicable mechanical/electrical experience. Mechanical ability sufficient to understand the operation of pumps, valves, motors and other mechanical equipment related to plant operation and maintenance. Ability to obtain Waterworks Operators Certificate (Plant Specific) within one to three years, depending on class. Knowledge of basic scientific and water purification concepts. Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.
