Hiring hourly range: $60,000-63,000 (salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).

The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, various hours may be required based on business demand.
As a Maintenance Repair and Operations Purchasing Specialist you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:
The Maintenance Repair and Operations Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing new suppliers, ensuring that the purchased services and materials meet specific technical specifications, negotiating purchase terms, and evaluating supplier performance. Develop critical spares list based on equipment criticality and mean time between failures. Ensure timely delivery and resolve any supplier issues or discrepancies. Develop efficient procurement solutions and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
Purchase Order Management:
+ Facilitates communication between multi-site business customer and service vendors.
+ Submits purchase requisitions and works closely with customers to ensure timely approval, initiating or collecting supporting documentation as needed.
+ Initiates purchase change order to adjust funding, time limits and quotes as necessary.
+ Provides oversight for PO verification/validation.
+ Manages all aspects of invoice reconciliation, including validating accuracy of purchase order, work order and expense coding; confirming alignment with service quote and payment terms; verifying serviced has been performed; approval process; clearing unmatched invoices, etc.
+ Collaborates with management and customers regarding cost reduction.
+ Partners with management to facilitate current year purchase order close out process.
+ Contact supplier/vendors to obtain competitive price bids; determine availability, terms, and delivery schedule regarding specific requisitions; evaluate quote/terms; and recommend action.
+ Receive quotes from appropriate vendors; compares costs and evaluates the quality and suitability of equipment, materials, and supplies.
+ Coordinates purchasing details with vendor and the Purchasing Department, including pricing revisions, order cancellation and invoice discrepancies.
Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO):
+ Identify all parts, components, and specifications.
+ Quickly identify items on hand that are critical in the event of critical equipment failure.
+ Work closely with site reliability team to ensure predictive maintenance activities have parts available before failure.
+ Organize Inventory to efficiently meet the needs of the maintenance departments.
+ Create parts inventory and effective procurement process to enable fast procurement that is cost effective.
+ Identify items needed, select suppliers, generate requisition requests, and track orders to completion.
+ Provide updates to scheduler planner daily for parts on older with estimated time of arrival (ETA) for work order comment updates.
+ Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand and timely replenishment for inventory control (https://www.netsuite.com/portal/resource/articles/inventory-management/what-are-inventory-management-controls.shtml) .
+ Analyze equipment failure data to identify parts most likely to fail. Look at mean time between failures (MTBF), failure modes, and maintenance records.
+ Work closely with vendors to understand lead times and supply constraints for identified critical parts.
+ Build safety stock for high-risk parts with long lead times.
+ Implement inventory control systems (https://www.sdi.com/supply-chain-technology/inventory-management-systems/) to track usage and trigger reorders for spares. Set minimum stock levels.
+ Store spare parts properly to prevent damage or obsolescence. Follow vendors’ guidelines.
+ Review spare parts inventory regularly for changes in equipment or suppliers.
+ Work with maintenance teams for consideration on repairing or refurbishing used parts to conserve stock.
+ Receive multiple quotes from different suppliers to provide best price to the client.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
+ Ability to communicate clearly via phone
+ Ability to work closely with customer during site emergencies.
+ Excellent oral and written communications
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc.
+ Accurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel.
+ Strive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Two years of experience as a Purchasing Clerk/Buyer, MRO procurement position or an administrative Specialist/Assistant in a business environment.
+ Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
+ Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
+ Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

**Preferred Requirements**
+ Associate degree or 2 years of completed college coursework directly related to procurement/purchasing.
+ Experience using data entry software. Experience working in purchasing or as a buyer in a manufacturing, maintenance, or a related service field.
+ Experience working as an administrative specialist or support role in a manufacturing, maintenance service, or corporate environment.
+ Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses.
+ Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
