About the role
The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance and limited production tasks, third party services, contractors, and vendors involved in the maintenance, design, improvement, repair of company equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Scheduler is critical to support the plant in delivering the operational KPI’s. The Maintenance Scheduler is cognizant and understanding of food and employee safety and ensures application in their daily routine.
Key responsibilities
Conduct weekly prioritization meeting to coordinate Maintenance activities. Creates work orders from work requests. Distributes copies of applicable sketches, word orders, EHS documents, work lists to supervision. Responsible for KPI tracking. Responsible for assisting maintenance planning process and strategies. Support the identification and delivery of opportunities across the site to drive improvement. Troubleshoot and modify maintenance planning system as needed. Coordinate activities with internal customers and external vendors to ensure that parts and material are available to support overall plant activities production and non-production. Responsible for the development of PMs Analyzes and plans resources, outside service to complete requirements on a Work Order. Schedules internal and external resources and services to satisfy Work Order requirements. Creates and distributes daily/ weekly schedules. Ensures Work Orders are closed when completed. Facilitates all maintenance planning and scheduling meetings. Arranges availability of shared resources. Manages the department’s technical documentation. Ensures accuracy of the maintenance management system including equipment history, labor tracking, parts Executes tasks as dictated by the role's checklist. Establishes for new equipment that the necessary critically assessments, maintenance routines are set up. Ensures Work Orders are update when parts received. Other Duties as assigned. Meets/exceeds requirements for food and employee safety.Environmental / Working Conditions:
Must be able to freely move around entire facility. Ability to work in and be exposed to heat.
About you
College Diploma/ Engineering degree/Trade Certification; or two years+ 3 yrs related experience in plant maintenance/planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated employee engagement skills. Excellent verbal and written skills. Intermediate computer skills: MS Office – Excel and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP knowledge an asset Experience with preventative maintenance (PM) programs. Ambition and the motivation to succeed and meet goals. Organizational and Time management skills.
