This position is responsible for developing, communicating and maintaining a workable multi‐craft schedule to balance work requirements, production priorities, and maintenance resources within an area for routine, turnaround, and small outage work. It ensures the effective deployment of all crafts, equipment, and outside resources required to complete a job. This position supports the safe, quality, and cost-effective execution of maintenance work. In addition, to daily maintenance scheduling this role incorporates supervision of the area soft-craft resources.
As a Maintenance Scheduler Supervisor, you create chemistry by...Facilitating weekly scheduling with Production and Maintenance for resource balancing to ensure job schedules meet the timing requirements of production.Developing detailed weekly schedule for all maintenance crafts, including central support crafts. Develop and sustain 2-3 week look-ahead schedules.Validating area crafts, central support crafts, equipment, and outside resources/services availability.Providing input into staffing changes that may be necessary based on historical trends and forecasts, including shutdowns, outages, and turnarounds.Interfacing with Turnaround and Capital Project Teams to ensure coordination, efficiency, and effectiveness.Assisting in identification of standard task lists and develops optimized plans for them.Validating daily schedule (from weekly schedule) by conducting afternoon check-ins with production and others. Determine the status of current day’s work and confirmation of next day’s activities.Working with the Maintenance Gatekeepers to handle schedule breakers based on process needs and the current business environment.Collecting data for daily and weekly schedule compliance, schedule breakers, overtime, etc.Monitoring and track scheduling metrics and make recommendations for continuous improvements.If you... 10 years or greater experience in petrochemical maintenance or operations.In depth knowledge of maintenance systems and equipment, planning, and scheduling preferred.Understanding of multiple crafts (mechanical, I/E, scaffolding, rigging, excavation) preferred. Possess a good working knowledge of all crafts and a solid understanding of maintenance work processes.Deal effectively with the unknown and unexpected and possess the ability to handle non-routine and emergency activities, such as schedule breakers, plant shutdowns, start-up, commissioning, etc.Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures along with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
