A Shift Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of automated systems during their assigned shift. Your responsibilities:System Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Oversee automated machinery, identify faults, and quickly resolve technical issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.Preventive & Corrective Maintenance – Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and necessary repairs to prevent unexpected failures.Process Optimization – Continuously analyze and improve automation processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.Data Analysis & Reporting – Collect and analyze system performance data, generate reports, and suggest improvements.Collaboration & Support – Work closely with production, maintenance, and IT teams to ensure automation systems meet operational needs.Compliance & Safety – Ensure all automated processes comply with safety standards and company policies. To action/ do any other duties which are within the employee’s skill and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Requirements for the role:Possess Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.Proven experience in PLC and programming with any of the following PLCs: Allen BradleySpecific work experience with GE Fanuc robotics system and programming is advantagesHave 3 – 5 years working experience in manufacturing plant dedication to automation, electrical, Mechanical, electronic and robotic.Good understanding in TPM and other management tools to assist in equipment maintenance and upgrade.Possess good maintenance practices on implementation on good housekeeping, and 5S.Possess good understanding and working member on ISO14001, OHSAS18001, IATF16949 and ISO50001 management system.
