Shift:

Pay Rate: $38.00
Plus Shift Differential for 2nd Shift: $2.00 per hour

Job Description:
The position will be responsible for ensuring operation of production machines and mechanical equipment. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.
Education / Experience / Certifications:
Basic knowledge in electricity, power mechanics, hydraulics, plumbing, and welding High school diploma or GED not required but preferred Successfully completed advanced mechanical class; electrical and mechanical classes are a plus
Activities / Tasks:
Use all precision measuring instruments including laser alignment equipment Use hand tools and portable tools when required in the repair and overhaul of equipment Weld and cut with arc, mig, plasma, and acetylene welding equipment Trouble shoot hydraulic, electrical and mechanical problems on machines and repair as required Able to tune-up, repair or overhaul plant machinery and equipment if needed Operate equipment such as drills, saw, and others that would be required Assists in developing preventive maintenance programs Performs preventive maintenance as necessary and trains other employees in the performance of routine preventive maintenance Extensive knowledge of plant equipment (Thermoformers, Lasers, Turret Punches, Press Brakes, and Shears); 480 volt 3 phase plant electrical systems; electrical controls with PLC experience; hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems and repair as required
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to instruct others in diagnostic analysis of electrical and electronic repair Ability to set-up machines Knowledge of basic maintenance, shop operation, and procedures Knowledge in interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings Understanding and operation of computer based maintenance data systems Ability to plan work and select proper tools Ability to apply shop mathematics to solve problems Ability to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objects Ability to correctly and safely use hand tools (both manual and pneumatic) Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards Ability to read effectively from a paper copy Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy Ability to multi-task Ability to work well with others Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to communicate effectively Ability to follow and understand directions
