Job Summary:
The Maintenance Specialist Fabrication/Machine is responsible for a variety of responsibilities including manufacturing parts/equipment within specifications, testing completed parts/equipment, reviewing specifications, blueprints, drawings, in order to fabricate, cleaning and lubricating machines, tools and equipment while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP, good housekeeping, and quality standards are met to maintain the efficient flow of production.
Essential Job Functions:
Set up and safely operate all metal working machines including but not limited to: CNC Mill, Manual Mills and Lathe with and without DRO, Drill Press, Arbor Press and Broach, etc…..Knowledge and ability to use measuring equipment including: Tape Measure, calipers, digital and analog micrometers……..Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtimeRegular attendance to ensure production requirements are metAbility to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in EnglishKnowledge of machines and tools including design and maintenanceKnowledge of basic hand/power toolsHold tolerancesKnowledge of Planned Maintenance and the Maintenance Work CycleMust be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyAs well as with others as a teamBasic computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheetsAbility to complete work/purchase requestsAbility to lift up to 75 lbsJob Duties:
Manufacture or repair parts/equipment within specifications and quality standardsMeasure, examine and test completed parts/equipment to ensure conformance to specificationsSet-up, adjust and operate machine tools in order to perform precise machiningReview specifications, parts, blueprints, drawings, etc in order to fabricatePerform PM tasks to ensure equipment is running properly and efficientlyPlan machining process (e.g., tools needed, steps to follow, etc.)Complete required reports (e.g., PM, Work Orders, Centerline, etc.)All other duties as assignedComplete BOS audits as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Advanced troubleshooting skillsTrain others in best practicesKnowledge of Plant safety, GMP's, and confined spaceKnowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)LOTO/PIT certifiedQualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in mechanical/technical trade preferred.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of machine shop or related experience required.
