Maintenance Superintendent

This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the Grayling Mill Manager and is responsible for the safe coordination and oversight of the daily maintenance activities, and capital projects at Grayling. This position is a key member of the Grayling leadership team.
The successful candidate will be a safety role model with excellent team skills and a proven ability to lead and develop people. The role will improve mill performance according to set objectives and established goals for safety, quality, and process reliability.

* Ability to rapidly advance preventative and predictive maintenance programs toward world class practices
* Experience leading the maintenance planning and scheduling practices
* Actively manage cost control processes to drive cost out and increase operational efficiency
* Develop and utilize effective maintenance and plant metrics for driving continuous improvement in reliability
* Effectively execute capital and major expense projects
* Work with the management team to continuously improve/optimize mill metrics, including the full utilization of current and future maintenance systems
* Demonstrated ability to work with contractors and vendors to achieve desired results
* Extensive knowledge and experience with reliability maintenance methods
* Bachelor’s degree or higher; engineering degree preferred
* Minimum 5 years of management experience
* Minimum 3 years maintenance experience
* Wood products manufacturing experience preferred
* Must be able to accept and respond to after-hours calls and work weekends/holidays as necessary

*Compensation:*This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $106,900 to $160,400 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

*Retirement:*Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
*Paid Time Off or Vacation:*We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
