**Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor (1 Year Contract Position)**
**Job Description**
The Asset Care Team Leader is responsible for the direction, supervision, and development of plant electrical and mechanical technicians and troubleshooting of production machinery. This role requires the supervision of maintenance activities on all shifts and is critical in supporting the plant in delivering its operational KPIs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure the standard of housekeeping and image are maintained.
+ Comply with the company's Good Manufacturing Practices including personal hygiene and all implemented Food Safety and Quality policies, programs, and regulations.
+ Support the quality and food safety team to ensure maintenance of the ISO / FSSC / HACCP systems.
+ Ensure that all work, including modifications and changes to any process, have a valid work order with all specified approvals.
+ Attend shift handover to understand the events of the last 24 hours.
+ Lead the Maintenance Tier 1 shift handover and validate the Shift Report.
+ Report out at Production Tier 2 meetings with items pertaining to maintenance.
+ Review all planned job packages for labor requirements, materials, parts, methods, permits, and priorities.
+ Distribute work orders and job plans to those assigned to perform tasks and assign a full day’s work at the start of the shift.
+ Assign mechanics to the jobs on the daily work schedule.
+ Work in partnership with the Planner/Schedulers to understand the backlog and priorities.
+ Spend at least two-thirds of the shift on the floor engaging with the mechanics and acting as the Production liaison for Maintenance.
+ Control job execution including quality, duration, cost, and thoroughness of all work under direct supervision.
+ Interface with Production on any changes in duration or other conditions impacting the schedule.
+ Control all maintenance crew payroll, overtime, tardiness, and absenteeism in accordance with established site standards.
+ Ensure orderly conduct of maintenance team members with respect to company policy and procedures compliance.
+ Drive improved Changeover and Changeover parts management.
+ Assure accurate distribution of time and materials to specific jobs by ensuring accurate work order completion information within SAP.
+ Ensure good housekeeping and safe work practices are followed in the shop and on all jobs.
+ Own specific Equipment Centers from an Overall Equipment Effectiveness perspective.
+ Support innovation initiatives throughout the site bottling halls.
+ Provide training to Mechanics and others with respect to SAP.
+ Develop and maintain individual Development Plans and conduct regular one-on-one feedback sessions.
**Essential Skills**
+ BS in Engineering or other Technical discipline required.
+ 5+ years of manufacturing or maintenance supervision experience.
+ Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience.
+ PLC/Drive systems/transmissions experience.
+ Basic Controller/Processor, Industrial Electrical Wiring, Mechanical/Electrical Devices and Circuits experience.
+ Basic Drive Maintenance, Installations, troubleshooting experience.
+ SAP experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working in a fast-paced food environment.
+ Experience managing a team of 20+.
+ Comfortable managing a team of various age groups and genders.
+ Must be flexible and willing to perform an array of tasks.

**Work Environment**
This position involves rotating shifts every 2 weeks: Midnights (11 PM–7 AM), Afternoons (7 AM–3 PM), and Days (3 PM–11 PM). The facility is located in Amherstburg, and the role includes managing up to 30 mechanics and electricians, supporting four bottling lines, whiskey production, and other facility equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Amherstburg, Ontario.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Amherstburg,ON.
