We are hiring a Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift at our frozen pizza factory and home to our famous Red Baron and Freschetta brands, in Florence, KY. As a Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the people leadership and technical execution of our planned maintenance and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and drive efficiencies with the plant production equipment by utilizing Asset Optimization, Defect Elimination, and Breakdown Elimination. You will work collaboratively with cross functional teams to identify and eliminate top losses across the site and have accountability for production throughput, downtime, OEE, and cost attainment.
Responsibilities:
+ Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with company, state, and federal food safety and human safety requirements for maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors.
+ Oversee and prioritize daily maintenance activities, including reactive, corrective, and planned maintenance in coordination with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
+ Track and report key maintenance KPIs (e.g., PM completion, backlog, mean time to complete, breakdowns) to support continuous improvement.
+ Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts for equipment breakdowns and reliability issues, driving root cause analysis through Breakdown Elimination processes.
+ Manage maintenance budget, participate in cost management, and collaborate on equipment maintenance strategy improvements.
+ Coach and develop maintenance team members in technical skills, leadership, and process utilization; ensure work quality and CMMS compliance.
+ Supervise contractor/vendor work, ensure spare part availability, and manage performance reviews, staffing, and onboarding for maintenance staff.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 3 years related experience.
+ Must have knowledge and skills in the technologies of fasteners, lubrication, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, fabrication, electrical power systems, electrical control systems, production/process, refrigeration, boilers, HVAC, and computerized maintenance management systems.
+ Working knowledge of food plant production and processing equipment preferred. Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety, EPA regulations, USDA and sanitation standards preferred.
+ Must have previous supervisor experience. Basic PC skills including expertise with MS Office and Outlook. SAP experience beneficial.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Must have basic mathematical and problem-solving skills to generate and maintain departmental reports.
+ May be required to be clean shaven if trained in the use of and required to use a respirator.
+ Must be capable and willing to work any shift and be on 24-hour call for emergency situations as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $66,375 to $110,625 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
