Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor

Located in Belén, Heredia, as Maintenance Supervisor you will be able to improve the productivity of the Manufacturing plant trough the optimization of the industrial machinery and equipment availability. In this position you will be responsible to carry out and coordinate the different maintenance activities to ensure a smoothly and reliable operation of the equipment. As part of the manufacturing plant team, you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager, and collaborating with different areas to promote continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

Participating and Coordination of:

Continuous improvement of the Maintenance process.Optimization of maintenance process and improvement of the machinery and equipment.Generate and deploy equipment reliability projects through the use of best practices in project management.Involved in new equipment installation, commissioning and testing as needed.Design, select of components, process, and equipment.Diagnostic and technical support to the maintenance department from his/her area of expertise.Assist in managing the priorities and saturation (workload) of the assigned resources.Collaborate with technical staff from various departments to resolve daily issues.Comply with all applicable safety procedures and Integrated Management System guidelines.Supervises the external contractors to regularly maintain some special equipment (e.g. Air Conditioner, Air Compressor and Forklift Truck, etc.) which rely on external source to ensure that equipment is maintained to the world class condition and to eliminate any unscheduled down time.Develop and analyses maintenance data and information gathering to provide the planned maintenance service more effectively in future.Develop standard working instructions/procedures and other standards and ensure its implementation by providing training and resources.Develop administrative tasks to ensure the procurement of services, equipment, materials and spare parts for the success of the maintenance department.Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering (electric, Mechanic, Maintenance, mechatronics, etc.)Minimum five years’ experience in Preventive predictive and Corrective Maintenance.Experience in Pneumatic, Mechanic and Hidraulic SystemsExperience with Servo control drives and motorsKnowlage in selection, installation, programming and maintaining of PLC and Drivers from different brands (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Hitachi, Omrom, Yaskawa, Powerflex, Parker, Siemens, Simoneg, Danfoss, Epower)Ability to read and understand Electrical and Mechanical schematics to aid in equipment troubleshooting.Knowledge of Industrial metrology and selection of measurement equipment (for temperature, pressure, flowmeters, electricity consumption, etc.).Knowledge of Industrial communication networks (Ethernet, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RS485, Hart, Probibus, Profinet, DeviceNet, DH+, serial 232, 48DH485)Knowledge of electrical systems (medium and low voltage, grounding, power quality protection systems, etc.)Knowledge in maintenance of utilities equipment (Chillers, Air compressors, Electric Substations and power distribution systems, Fire protection equipment, etc.)
