This Opportunity:

Palladium’s Contingency Operations portfolio supports the United States Department of Defense, Department of State, and various branches of the US military in undertaking projects in the areas of Base Operations Support, Life Support Area maintenance, and other areas of contingency logistics to enhance our clients’ efforts towards humanitarian assistance, disaster response, and logistics excellence.

In anticipation of future award, Palladium is seeking expressions of interest from qualified candidates in the areas of Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) and integrated logistics support including inventory management and control, serialization, storage, tactical vehicle maintenance, marking and labeling, and distribution.

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations in the vehicle maintenance shop. They lead a team, enforce policies, and ensure work conforms to quality standards. Additionally, they perform equipment maintenance, analyze malfunctions, and supervise subcontracted workers.

Location and Compensation:

The position will operate for a period of approximately 4 months in Luzon, Philippines, and will be under the direction of Palladium’s Washington D.C.  office.

Please be advised that a final pay offer will be based on various factors, including but not limited to your qualifications, education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and Palladium’s business or organizational needs.

Overtime will be paid after 48 hours worked in a week (Monday-Sunday). Overtime will be paid at 150% agreed hourly rate. Holiday pay will be paid in accordance with US Federal holidays. Holiday pay will be paid at 200% agreed hourly rate.

Reporting and Supervision:

This role will report to the Operations Manager

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

Oversee the day-to-day execution of the vehicle maintenance shop.
Lead a team of personnel as a working Supervisor.
Ensure established policies and procedures are effectively enforced.
Control shop maintenance schedule to ensure maximum utilization of assigned personnel.
Review work in progress and upon completion for conformance to standards and to ensure section maintains the highest standards of workmanship and quality.
Supervise and perform daily equipment maintenance operations on equipment. performing a full range of operator, organizational, direct support and limited general support equipment repairs on both wheeled and tracked vehicles.
Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as, but not limited to cranes, manlifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, variable reach forklifts and platform grapplers.
Operate and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects; dismantles and reassembles equipment using hoists and hand tools; examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges; replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions; and tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Supervises and directs subcontracted workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
Under direction of the Operations Manager, be prepared to assist in download/upload of vehicles and equipment on and off vessels as required.
Be prepared to help all other Team Members as directed, including non-Palladium staff, Local National workers and prime contractor staff.

Key Competencies Required:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must provide copy of diploma.
MOS or civilian trade qualification in US Army MOS 63B Wheel Mechanic or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Host Nation Heavy Driver’s License.
608/609 Certification preferred.
Fluency in written and spoken English

Desirable Criteria:

Five (5) years’ experience in heavy equipment and automotive maintenance operations or equivalent with at least two (3) years of experience as a supervisor.
Demonstrate a high level of skill in troubleshooting and remediating faults and repairs as it relates to heavy equipment, motors and automobiles
Ability to demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in a professional demeanor is required.
Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include multinational staff, superiors and ranking military offices.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, with the ability to understand the effect of decisions is required.
Moderate proficiency in the use of MS Office.
High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.

Must have strong interpersonal skills.
