General Summary

Sunday-Friday 11pm-7am

 This position, which reports to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager is responsible for directing the work activities of Maintenance personnel, as well as contractors and vendors, engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and equipment and directing fabrication and purchasing of parts/equipment as needed in the Bakery Operation. 
This position will provide direct support of plant equipment for troubleshooting, repairs, technical advisor and “go-to” person for the operation. The Maintenance Supervisor will also train or recommend appropriate training programs for direct reports, prepare written performance reviews, and consistently enforce Company policies pertaining to safety, quality, workplace conduct, attendance, the Plant’s Reliability Program by meeting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and participating in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings, 


Principal Accountabilities
1. 15% - Ensure that all jobs are performed safely. 
2. 10% - Schedule and follow up on work assignments in a manner that maximizes productivity and ensures work is executed as scheduled. 
3. 15% - Determine root causes of major repairs and implement the necessary corrective action to prevent recurrence. 
4. 10% - Communicate daily job status reports to Planner, indicating those to be completed by the end of the shift and those expected to carry over. 
5. 5% - Provide clarification of Work Orders or Work Request to planner that are lacking sufficient information 
6. 10% - Coordinate and complete emergency/urgent jobs in an efficient and safe manner. 
7. 5% - Assist in coordination of plant Safety Programs. 
8. 5% - Seek recommendations for improving work procedures and plans. 
9. 10% - Maintain open communications with all departments and personnel in regard to safety, job efficiency, product quality, customer service, and housekeeping. 
10. 5% - Maintain maintenance shop and equipment (5S). 
11. 5% - Develop training needs for assigned mechanics. 
12. 5% - Ensure the assigned mechanics understand their goals and objectives, and how they are contributing towards them by reviewing the KPIs. 

Job Complexity
• Respond to all crewing needs in regard to call-offs, changes in production schedules. 
• Trouble shoot emergency break downs of computer-controlled production, baking and packaging equipment. 
• Promote positive employee relations by recognizing employees for exceptional work performance, teamwork, and other contribution that assists our business objectives. 
• Resolve any personnel issues/conflicts. Administer progressive discipline when employee behavior warrants. 
• Manage contractors to Pepperidge Farm safety standards and work quality. 
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. 
• Model company policies and enforce policies with all employees. 


Minimum Requirements

HS Diploma or GED required3+ years of supervisory or other leadership experience within manufacturing

Preferred Requirements

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred3+ years of maintenance leadership experience within food manufacturingPLC, PC controlled equipment experience preferredSAP experience preferred




Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$64,315.00 - $103,740.00

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
