Linamar Forging Carolina (LFC) is part of the Linamar Group that has over 70 facilities around the world. Our activity is to develop process and to supply forged, heat treated and machined parts for the Automotive Industry.

The maintenance supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager. The individual understands, reviews, and inspects the work performed on electrical/electronic systems. 

Role and Responsibilities

Includes the following, but other duties may be assigned.

Co-ordinate and supervise the activities of skilled and unskilled maintenance workers. Ensure proper methods and procedures are followed to maintain, repair and service equipment, buildings and facilities in compliance with building codes and safety standards. Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime. Inspect projects to ensure conformity to specifications, direct safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs. Responsible for maintaining stock of inventory of materials, parts and specialized tools for the maintenance function.

Mechanical degree or related discipline is required Six to ten years of experience in manufacturing industry Hands on supervisor. 60% of time should be on the production floor Strong accountability, involvement, and expectation for herself/himself but also for the other members of the team People oriented: focus on respecting the rules, processes, and procedures Strong decision-making skills with an ownership attitude Respond to emergency calls from production Maintains all mechanical equipment Mechanical equipment rebuilds, modifications, and installations
