The Role
At MAPEI our Maintenance Supervisors are key members of our production operations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, you will prioritize the work orders and assist hands-on with maintenance activities. You will work with supervisors/management to plan repairs to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment, regularly review preventive maintenance procedures, and monitor and analyze maintenance KPI’s to ensure the optimal performance of the production machinery. Please note this is a 2nd Shift (evenings) position.
Lead and guide hourly maintenance employees
Prioritize all work orders for routine maintenance and scheduled maintenance.
Plan and execute all maintenance, including; OSHA rules, PSM regulations/guidelines, and state and local environmental regulations.
Effectively monitor and analyze maintenance KPI’s. Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve the reliability and performance of equipment.
Train maintenance personnel in proper maintenance procedures and proper reporting procedures.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns to ensure production continues as planned.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
Interface with internal departments & vendors for quoting, purchasing, and receiving of parts & services.
Participate in cost reduction planning with the Plant Maintenance Manager, storeroom personnel, and MRO buyer.
Work with supervisors/management to plan repairs to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment.
Review of Preventive Maintenance Procedures to be performed on equipment and updated as necessary.
Communicate with production supervisors by responding to requests for repairs and meet with production supervisors to discuss and resolve any problems with the equipment in their departments.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you should be willing to get your hands dirty a bit.
You must be mechanically inclined and have experience in a manufacturing or process type of environment.
Requires a Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree from a four year College or University or the equivalent plus a minimum of
5 years of related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience
You should be proficient and comfortable with computers.
Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
You must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
Must be able to accommodate the designated shift hours: 1st shift (days), 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 am approx.) or a 3rd shift (10:00 pm to 6:30 am approx.)
