SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor directs and coordinates maintenance activities with team members, vendors, and contractors engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment, including maintenance of buildings, grounds, utilities of the plant, and new construction. These duties are performed personally or through team associates. The Maintenance Supervisor will engage and foster team work and train associates within the maintenance department regarding proper and thorough repairs essential to maximize operation uptime and promote safe work practices.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manages Maintenance work requests from production floor, supervisors/ quality control, determines priority and assigns a technician, maintains minimal plant downtime thru proper PM management & lead thorough direction of the maintenance staff & dept. Ensures team members comply with all safety, best work & manufacturing practices. Ensure proper & advanced training of subordinates, maintain documentation of all training records, engage in regular team member meetings to discuss priorities, continual improvement, projects, safety, company policy awareness, etc. Comply with all company regulations, safety, environmental, BRC & GMP programs, maintain audit documentation. Develop robust vendor & contractor relationships to provide best workplace experience associated with plant improvements. Communicates to Production & Quality assurance equipment break downs & estimated time for a satisfactory repair. Confers with vendors, management, engineering & quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems & recommend measures to improve operations & conditions of machines & equipment. Maintain pre-planning of staffing & project organization during production, also to include weekend projects & the proper coordination & implementation of contractors, equipment, tools, parts & team member staffing during non-production hours. Observes & listens to sounds of mechanical equipment or devices in operation to locate any signs of trouble, and to help identify thru root cause analysis, long term repair solutions. Additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED Experience Requirements 3+ years related experience. Prior supervisory experience. Troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment. Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills along with the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
