What you will do…
The Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for directing daily work activities of Zone Maintenance Mechanics. The Maintenance Supervisor position is also responsible for helping manage third party contractors/vendors engaged in the setup/installation/repair/maintenance of production machinery and equipment. This position is also required to perform mechanic duties, as necessary, in order to support the needs of the operation.
Have advanced knowledge of industrial piping, electrical, welding, and fabricating in order to set up, modify, repair, and troubleshoot problems on plant production and facility equipment.Diagnose machine control issues by accessing the programable logic controller (PLC) and/or troubleshooting other machine control components.Use his/her technical background to act as a trade expert in keeping the plant running efficiently and within all regulatory guidelines. Guide mechanics in order to support the operation through successful troubleshooting and repair of all production equipment as well as buildings and grounds. Ensure that all Zone Maintenance Mechanics understand their goals and objectives, and how they are contributing towards them.Consistently inspect and monitor work areas for compliance with food safety regulations. Handle all aspects of training (recommendation, setup, execution and documentation) for direct reports. Model company policies and consistently apply to all employees. Coach and discipline employees where appropriate.Actively participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and other plant meetings as requested.Respond to all crewing requirements including changes due to call-offs and production schedules. Promote positive employee relations by recognizing employees for exceptional work performance, teamwork, and other contributions that assist us in meeting our business objectives.Work with the plant Maintenance Planner to plan daily/weekly work as well as major upcoming projects. Provide clarification of Work Orders, Work Requests and Work Notifications to the Maintenance Planner that are lacking enough information.Improve PM system including updates to existing PM’s and add new PM’s to the system as new equipment is commissioned within the plant.Determine root cause of major repairs by employing Lean Principals (i.e. A3 and 5-Why analysis) and implement the necessary corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain open communication with all departments and personnel regarding safety, job efficiency, product quality, customer service, and housekeeping. Proactively manages safety programs and initiatives; drives a "zero accident, zero lost time" philosophy within the team.Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices.Other duties as assigned, with or without accommodation.What you bring to the table…

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$65,200-$93,700Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
