Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function, including installation, and repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities.  This individual is expected to place an emphasis on providing a committed and high level of technical service in a safe manner, while partnering with other leaders to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency. 

The Maintenance Supervisor should have:

Strong maintenance and/or furnace operations backgroundExperience with maintenance management softwareExperience in a maintenance leadership roleAbility to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization 

The Maintenance Supervisor will:

Assist in directing preventive maintenance programsCoordinate and supervise all construction and service work performed by outside contractorsConduct periodic inspections of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds.  Oversees all changes or upgrades Review shift operations, make decisions, and implement actions relative to changes on shifts that may impact processing, procedures, personnel, equipment, and customer requirementsTrack downtime and provide solutions to decrease downtime

QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor degree in Engineering preferred Experience in a maintenance leadership position in a manufacturing facility, preferably 5 or more years Glass industry experience is preferredProficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

What we offer at O-I: 

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
