Your main responsibilities are
Coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned team.- Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract in own responsibility area. Train maintenance procedures and standards for the new workers. Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts and tools and ensure those are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed. Ensure that the work is executed at plant according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures as well as assigned maintenance plan. Inspect completed work to ensure that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards. Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems. Develop the maintenance working routines at the plant. Prioritize and assign tasks so that assigned team resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Responsible for all activities relating to the daily maintenance management of the power plant inclusive of planning and implementation of plant maintenance. To communicate effectively with the plant team relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance and to provide suggestions for improvements. Administration and training of skilled and motivated maintenance personnel to assure good teamwork. Setting and maintaining the qualification and training standard for the plant maintenance personnel. Establish and implement standard maintenance policies and procedures in accordance with the Project & Contract Management process. Prepare reports, plans and budgets as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.You will shine in this role when you have:
PME – Professional Mechanical Engineer Strong leadership ability. Experience in supervision of maintenance staff, contractors and tradesmen. Must possess problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills. Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in the area of Power Plant Maintenance. 2 years of experience as a Maintenance supervisor (essential). Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices. Effective budgeting and performance management. Fantastic organizational and leadership skills. Great eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
