Job Description:
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
What you'll do:
Responsibilities
Oversees and performs all inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair activities in compliance with standard maintenance procedures, operating manuals, manufacturers specifications, drawings and diagrams, and federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
Coordinates and performs regular inspections of equipment and machinery according to operating manuals and standard maintenance procedures to assure operating efficiency and identify potential problem areas. Documents inspection activities and establishes schedules for review of potential problems.
Project management of new and existing buildings and facilities including building control and local authority liaison and application administration and working with both internal and external contractors.
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in all phases of the plant operation, including work direction or guidance, budgeting, appraisals, etc.
Create and implement proactive and preventive maintenance work orders within the CMMS for all facility equipment, production support equipment and production equipment using OEM recommendations as well as industry known standards.
Establish short- and long-term schedules, coordinates, assigns, and inspects regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, processing equipment and facilities systems.
Participates with Team Leaders in the review an analysis of proposed machinery, equipment, and facilities systems. Analyzes operating characteristics, reliability, and cost-of-maintenance.
Inspects work-in-progress and completed assignments. Assesses compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
Trains others and personally diagnoses problems affecting acceptable operation of process equipment, machinery, tools and facility equipment.
Develop maintenance policies and standards for operations plant.
Responsible for handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance.
Manage vendor relationships, including but not limited to grounds maintenance and janitorial services.

What you'll bring:
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of maintenance experience
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to organize and dispatch multiple small teams to make repairs and perform routine maintenance.
Requires the ability to train others, develop skill development programs, and review work results.
Must be able to understand, give, and follow technically oriented oral and written instructions, maintain complete records and interpret plans, diagrams, operating manuals, and specifications.
Highly motivated to repair down equipment quickly with a sense of urgency.
Requires the ability to establish an integrated and sequenced preventative maintenance plan.
Proficient with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
Capable of building the CMMS data base from the ground up.
Ability to read precision instruments and perform mathematical calculations.
Requires the ability to observe and follow all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrated history of driving improvements and measurable results in a production environment.
Experience leading process improvement initiatives including knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Proven management skills in managing technical projects.
Excellent communication skills. MS Office proficiency.
Salary: The compensation range for this position is $68k - $85k annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
