What You’ll Do:
Our Maintenance Supervisor will lead the day-to-day maintenance operations as well as the planning and scheduling all maintenance work in the Wilmington facility and provide continuity between the production, scheduling, and maintenance areas. In addition to leading all maintenance technicians, this individual will develop, schedule, and coordinate detailed maintenance plans, approve contractors and services and evaluate/award jobs to vendors.

Provide leadership for operational excellence programs, including continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective, and preventive action. Provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance teams. Provide leadership in a sustainable preventative/predictive maintenance and reliability improvement programs. Oversee talent management and employee development and promote constructive employee relations. Responsible for repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment in the manufacturing operations Oversee maintenance of the entire facility, including but not limited to, HVAC systems, plant utilities and operations. Ensure best type of repairs and the most cost-effective means of completing a maintenance repair are used. Oversee and coordinate regular plant shutdowns with production and scheduling. Develop and oversee and responsible for the facility and maintenance budgets. Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to minimize downtime. Create and maintain critical spares and tools stores inventory. Work with manufacturing to prioritize maintenance work to create a daily schedule that will meet production demand and minimize down time. Process all non-emergency work notifications evaluating for detail and priority accuracy. Identify all resources needed for work to be completed including manpower or other needed crafts, parts, tools, manuals, prints/drawings/P&ID’s, Permits and Outside Services. Identify any safety hazards or precautions including Hot work, Lock Out / Tag Out, Line Breaks, Confined Space Entry, Working from Heights, etc. Convert to work order. Procure any special tools and parts as needed. Detail step by step instructions for completing the request. Work with operations to schedule the work. Prepare shut down work. Develop detailed task lists and materials for shutdowns. Work with operations to develop shut down schedules. Ensure all resources needed for shutdowns are on site and available in time. Review shut down work and modify task lists/procedures as necessary.
Skills That Matter:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), additional education is a plus. Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in plant operations Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes Experience in facility management Experience planning and scheduling maintenance work. Ability to read mechanical drawings, prints and P&ID’s Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and organizational skills. Good communication skills across all levels of the organization and outside vendors and contractors Must be able to plan, organize, and manage multiple objectives and deadlines simultaneously. Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products and SAP or a similar ERP system.Physical Requirements:
