About the role
Our Maintenance team is integrated within the Maintenance department. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of a maintenance team to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. As The Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, coordinating with Production Supervisor for when maintenance tasks ready to be executed, managing resources, optimizing maintenance processes, and minimizing downtime. Collaborates with other departments to address facility-related issues and may be involved in budgeting and cost control measures related to maintenance operations. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential for a maintenance supervisor to guide and motivate the maintenance team while fostering a culture of safety and productivity. You will be accountable for: Maintain plant facilities for the manufacture of products and manage maintenance costs to the overall benefit of the company. Provide the leadership to move from a reactionary repair mode to one that performs work in an orderly and proactive manner and identify opportunities and implement solutions that move the manufacturing operation toward increased capacity through increased reliability of equipment and down time reduction. Provide mechanical/electrical expertise to help the mechanics perform repairs in an orderly, reliable manner using the proper procedures. Manage the maintenance training program and monitor training progress of all mechanics, improve communication between maintenance department and all other departments at the plant, and work with production personnel to prioritize, scope, plan, schedule, and execute daily work. Drive continuous reliability improvement opportunities at the plant through identifying, scoping, and executing small projects, facilitate tracking of maintenance department activities and costs through effective documentation in, and the utilization of, CMMS (RCS). Responsible for the procurement, storage, and inventory control of all machinery, equipment and spare parts related to stores inventory, receiving and issuing all stores and non-stores inventory, sending out tools and parts for repair, prepares the paperwork and contracts vendors for return, maintaining RCS system for stores to create and track purchase requisitions, accesses vendor information system for tracking inventory, vendor numbers, PO information and resolving discrepancies, tracks Accounts Payable information and verify payment of outstanding invoices, maintaining a layout and design that ensures access to all spare parts, including labeling bins, stock item cards, and maintaining accurate spare parts information, and pick-up, delivery and inventory of scrap dumpster, gas cylinders, oil drums, and boiler chemicals. Coordinates the site’s computer maintenance software, and oversees data entry and retrieval procedures. Initiates necessary information for chasing equipment and spare parts. Disposes of obsolete inventory, including preparing and distributing documentation. Assists Production Manager in maintaining ISO equipment and PM program, and associated records. We offer employment based on an onsite working schedule.
About you
High School Diploma is required. 5 or more years’ experience in a chemical plant, or other related industry, and could involve 3 years working in maintenance. Competencies: Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment (pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation, etc.) along with a background in maintenance and repair of this equipment in order to effectively lead/guide Maintenance Technicians and contractors in the execution of daily maintenance activities. Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively with all departments, vendors and contract service providers. About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the US base pay reasonably expected for this role is $90,000- $100,000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
