Our client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in a manufacturing facility the great Bettendorf area. 

 

Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe work environment and prevent harm to people or the environment. Lead safety talks and job-specific safety checks. Manage the team to meet goals for quality, quantity, timeliness, safety, and performance. Support team growth by assigning tasks, providing training, coaching, and mentoring. Assign and prioritize work fairly, ensuring tasks align with department guidelines. Plan and manage crew schedules for planned and unplanned needs, considering absences, equipment, and vacation schedules. Lead a skilled and diverse maintenance team that is flexible and customer-focused. Work with the team to quickly identify and solve problems to keep production running. Use data and problem-solving methods to address major equipment issues. Manage equipment efficiently to ensure reliability, reduce costs, and support long-term use. Support business goals by improving quality, reducing waste, and applying lean manufacturing practices. Recognize and reward great performance, address underperformance, and document actions fairly. Build strong relationships to solve problems, influence decisions, and satisfy customers. Occasionally handle sensitive situations and motivate others to achieve results.

 

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED). At least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience. At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing direct reports. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available). Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment (preferred) Familiarity with company policies, HR practices, and labor agreements (preferred) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred)
