POSITION SUMMARY:

Marathon Petroleum Company’s Michigan Refining Division is currently looking for a full-time Inspection Supervisor. This position will report to the Refinery Maintenance Manager and will oversee, supervise, and direct the MRD Inspection Department to ensure compliance to recognized codes, industry standards, as well as company specifications/procedures/policies.

This position is eligible for relocation benefit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership to the Inspection group.Manage the inspection procedures covered by the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.Ensure compliance with PSM covered equipment.Review and approve all inspection reports and recommendations.Manage inspections shutdown and turnaround plans and schedules.Ensure repair recommendations meet code and company requirements.Ensure inspection recommendations are prioritized and managed through completion.Ensure inspection and testing of new equipment complies to applicable codes and company standards.Support unit corrosion studies, RBI Program and Fixed Equipment Reliability Programs.Develop and manage inspection department budget.Ensure Process Safety information (PSI) meets compliance.Provide fixed equipment mechanical integrity guidance to all MRD Departments.Support timely completion of PSM/safety related programs: Intelex, audits, BBS, MOC’s, toolbox meetings and yearly goals.Provide career development and performance input to the Inspection staff.Collaborate and work closely with Maintenance dept.Manage and accurately forecast contractor manpower plans for run and maintain compliance inspection work.Provide oversite to the 25-year tank plan and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED required.Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.5 years of related work experience in Inspection Maintenance/Engineering in refining, petrochemical or other related industry required.SAP Plant Maintenance and Meridium software experience preferred.API510; API 570; API 653 and AWS-CWI; NBIC Certifications preferred.Supervisor experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Must be able to work overtime as needed to support TAR and on-call coverage.Must have a clean and valid drivers' license.
