Description:
Caterpillar Skinningrove Ltd. operates on a 24/7 basis. The Maintenance Technician will be available respond to day to day issues within the facility and to complete PPMs as appropriate on their designated shift.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule, carrying out planned maintenance as requiredRespond to machine breakdowns in a timely mannerManage all PPM and breakdowns in Agility system, reporting updates as requiredInstallation of plant equipment as requiredFault finding on electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic circuitsDevelop and maintain the facility availability and uptime using fault analysis through pareto analysis and condition monitoringRoute cause machine failure and implement corrective actions across multiple disciplinesProvide expertise for troubleshooting and assistance to other issuesEnsure deliverables meet all quality and compliance standardsParticipate in identifying areas of continuous improvement, focussing on cost and velocity and implementing necessary changes where appropriateManage specific projects within the areas of responsibilityMachine calibration as requiredWork closely with Operations team to identify areas of concern and equipment availabilityMaintain detailed shift handover that ensures smooth transition between shiftsWork at heights using relevant safety equipment and PPEUse measuring equipment including insulation meters, verniers, micro meters, multi meters and power suppliesUse of lifting equipmentLiaise with external suppliers, buyers and service providers, working off site on their premises as requiredMaintain a pro-active approach to health and safetyAny other reasonable duties as required by ManagementRequired Characteristics

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, Time served Maintenance ApprenticeLatest I.E.E 17th/18th Edition preferableExperience/Knowledge/Skills Required:
Previous experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role with electrical bias in a busy manufacturing environment essentialAbility to read engineering drawings and electrical/mechanical schematics and PLC ladder listingsAbility to operate PLC, Electrical/Electronic & CNC systems, fault finding & diagnosticsAbility to use a range of power and hand toolsKnowledge and proficient use of IT systemsDesired Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Hydraulic and mechanical experienceExperience of ABB RobotsTruck driving licence (reach, counter balance, Jib)Shift pattern:
24/7 shift rotation, with pattern of working hours being 2 x 12 hour day shift (06:50 - 19:00), followed by 2 x 12 hour nightshift (18:50 - 07:00) followed by 4 days off.
