Improve operations through effective planning and scheduling of building and equipment maintenance activities and resources. Organize, direct, and control the maintenance department. Actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing: Procure, arrange for and direct building and equipment maintenance/ repair, including parts and services purchased Direct, plan, organize, assign, supervise, and evaluate operating and maintenance repair work to machinery and building electrical/ mechanical systems, completed by operators and selected service contractors Review and ensure compliance with regulatory codes, manufacturer’s requirements, industry practices, company policies/ procedures, and operating performances targets Supervise and coach day to day operations within the maintenance & sanitary department. Maintain a high level of customer service for those on-site. Strive for fast continuous systematic planned improvement. Identify and improve plant opportunities. Deal with suppliers and vendors. Maintain integrity of health and safety checklists and inspections Adhere and implement all applicable company safety standards Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per company requirements Comply with all RSC audit expectations (OH&S, Food Safety, etc) Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Possible exposure to extreme temperatures Alertness to other people and vehicles What you have to offer: Three to five years supervisory experience Two or more years of experience in a warehouse maintenance environment Experience in general technical troubleshooting of building equipment and hands-on operating, diagnostics and repair Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, leading a diverse workforce, oral/written communication skills and organized Excellent mechanical, analytical, and mathematical skills Knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair for various types of machinery as well as plant material handling and automation equipment Knowledge of working with regulatory agencies. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Preventive Maintenance Program.
