Job Summary
You will oversee the maintenance department and all aspects of their work. You will schedule work and personnel to meet production demands, maintain the preventative maintenance system, and work toward meeting the plants goals. You will also control maintenance expenses by monitoring overtime and parts expenses.
You will establish and maintain mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs to ensure employee safety and quality standards.
You will report to the Manager of Maintenance. You will work in a department of approximately 20 people. This is an onsite role in a large food packaging facility with cold temperatures. You will work 12 hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.
You Will:Monitor the efficiencies of the production lines, paying special attention for maintenance and mechanical trends.Train, motivate and direct employees to adhere to safe work methods.Promote teamwork to achieve our goals.Control labor costs of your department.Control departmental overtime.Monitor the machinery and equipment to ensure safety of all employees.Compliance to all OSHA safety regulations and standards.Seek continuous improvement from the Maintenance Department employees and the efficiencies of the production lines.Assume full ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities.Continuously evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies.You Have:High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program preferred3 or more years of previous maintenance experiencePrevious supervisory experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blue prints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to calculate figures.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Knowledge and experience with Preventative Maintenance programs.Knowledge of Electronic and Electrical principals.Must be able to effectively use computerized technologyCAD/Drafting experience desirable.#LI-Onsite
