Maintenance Tech - 1st Shift M-F

Associate is responsible for maintenance of the facility and warehouse equipment that includes but is not limited to installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, PLC and plumbing equipment; as well as machinery, conveyor and sortation equipment, and related controls and components while maintaining the campus upkeep and appearance.

Excellent working knowledge of all facility and warehouse systems and repairs required for successful campus operationsReport to work 15 minutes prior to the start of shift for proper Shift pass downPerform maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical, Electrical, PLC and related systems, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, Lighting and Control systems for the facility to keep these systems up to applicable standardsIdentifies issues and root cause and finds appropriate solutions utilizing problem solving techniques resulting in timely resolve and complete repairReport all downtime to Maintenance Leadership and/or OperationsEnsure a safe work environment while maintaining a clean and organized work areaFollow all Belk and OSHA Safety guidelines, policies and proceduresComplete and enter in the CMMS System assigned preventative as well as all other maintenance work orders as scheduled by the end of shiftMaintain a courteous and professional work ethic, appearance, and attitudeTimely completion of other duties as assignedMaintain and account for all Belk supplied toolsMaintain the cleanliness and organization of all Maintenance Shop areasAssist other members of the Maintenance Department with completing tasks when neededFamiliar with and can safely operate all facility and material handling equipment and assorted hand-held and power tools, torch, welder, impact tools and electrical testing equipmentAll employees are expected to be in compliance with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresWork overtime or non-scheduled hours as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance ManagerFamiliarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management SystemUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated by state and federal OSHA regulations
