Maintenance Tech B

Job Summary:

Maintenance Technician B are entry level trainees to work with existing technicians to develop proper skill set in the industrial maintenance field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Learn to perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production equipment. Learn the proper use of hand, power, and precision measuring tools. Learn to perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines. Learn to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Learn how to properly diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Learn how to perform and understand the importance of regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities. Learn to detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Performance Expectations (if applicable):

General Mechanical aptitude preferred. High school graduate or GED preferred. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift and maneuver 50+ pounds. Must use hand, power, and shop tools multiple times a day. Must be able to distinguish color shade differences. Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel. Overtime is required on a regular basis including weekends and holidays. Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. Perform and other duties as assigned.
