Major Function
Responsible for performing minor preventative maintenance, and repairs on commercial plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems and other tasks that may be assigned in the most efficient and workmanlike manner commensurate with his/her training and capabilities in the best interest of C&W Services to serve its customers. Responsible for maintaining the quality and quantity of his/her work up to acceptable Company standards and in accordance with established policies. Responsible for representing C&W Services to the customer and the general public in a manner that promotes good relationships.
Organizational Responsibilities:
Reports to C&W Services Site Lead.Responsible to tradesperson when assigned to them for specific work.Cooperate with and assist others in a common effort to promote good will and company growth.Perform additional duties as requested by the Site Lead or Facility Manager.Specific Responsibilities:
Perform minor corrective maintenance and repair of commercial plumbing fixtures, replacement of overhead and specialty lighting, basic carpentry, minor drywall repairs, painting and specialty items such as doors, door closures, furniture or other general maintenance work.Respond to service calls and work requests as required.Work independently and as a second person with other team members.Perform preventive maintenance work in its entirety, including updating and maintaining the appropriate electronic records consistent with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in use.Repair or make recommendations to Site Lead on any defective equipment in their area of responsibility.Keep accurate time/hours via electronic time keeping system and CMMS systems.Assist in all energy conservation measures or projects.Organize, restock, label, and maintain shop supplies, and plant according to all code requirements.Respond to request for picking up and delivering boxes for file storage, maintaining chain of custody and coordinating pickup by outside vendor.Respond to request for delivery of dry ice and pick-up of empty bins and monitoring of dry ice production.Assure high work standard as a C&W Services representative.Safety Duties: Ensure safe working conditions are being maintained in areas under his/her care. Report safety violations to supervisor.Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum two years direct experience in commercial or light industrial building operations and maintenance.Good troubleshooting skills and experience with various types of hand and power tools, shop equipment and multi meters used in the performance of the assigned task.High school diploma or equivalent.Basic, intermediate knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems and equipment.OSHA 10 certificate preferred.Ability to perform basic general maintenance, light carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.Possesses basic, intermediate skills associated with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, electronic timekeeping and CMMS.Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
