Job Description Summary:

The primary role of the Blending Maintenance Tech II team is to provide effective mechanical maintenance support to plant operations while ensuring safety, meeting operational needs, and complying with safety codes.  Responsibilities include routine preventative maintenance tasks, such as replacing components, coordinating with maintenance planners on pasteurizer rebuilds, assisting with pressure tests, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.  Skilled and knowledgeable in mechanical systems, this position supports troubleshooting, process improvements, preventive and predictive maintenance.  Additionally, the tech is responsible for notifying management if a workplace becomes too hazardous due to a mechanical problem.

Night Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM - 2-2-3 schedule with rotating weekends

What You’ll Do for Us  

Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and repairs on mechanical systemsMaintain mechanical systems in as-new conditionDiagnose equipment problems using test results, error messages & info from operatorsOperate and test machinery to ensure repairs are adequateExamine parts for defects and replace malfunctioning componentsRecord parts used and maintenance performed; requisition new parts as neededStudy blueprints and manuals for correct machinery operationCommunicate with management and equipment operators about potential hazardsEnsure safety and compliance with established rules and protocolsPerform duties with minimal supervisionSkilled in troubleshooting and using hand/power toolsEnsure safe work environments, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Provide efficient and quality maintenance service to production areas, enabling them to operate at a high level of efficiencyCollaborate with blending supervision, maintenance associates, parts store, and purchasing personnelMonitor contractor performanceSupport Engineering with improvement projects

Qualifications & Requirements

Achieve a passing score on the Maintenance Technician testHave 3 years’ experience in this role or equivalent vocational and technical trainingGood attendance and meet basic plant employment criteriaSelf-supply tools as requiredMaintenance background in hydraulics, controls, electrical, PLCs, and pneumaticsIn-depth knowledge of thermal processes, blending equipment, and related systemsAbility to read technical documents, blueprints and schematicsAbility to hear machine operations sounds to detect defective parts, machine failures, and changes in speed and other routine running conditionsManual and finger dexterityMust be able to work flexible shift schedules up to 12-hour shifts as neededCertification within 90 days post-startCapable of lifting 50 pounds and working at heights or in extreme temperaturesStrong problem-solving skills; able to work under stress and flexible schedulesProficient with computers and software programsPerform tasks safely to meet Quality, Service, and Cost goals

Pay Range:

$64,665 - $87,487

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
