Job Description Summary

 

The purpose of this position is to perform all maintenance tasks as needed, especially those which require specific technical skills and knowledge in the manufacturing of plastic products. 

 

Responsibilities

 

Repair all maintenance tasks as needed Perform diagnoses of complex problems on plastic injection and blow molding machines, as well as related equipment such as grinders, compressors, chillers, etc. Perform all electrical repairs on molding machines by use of electrical schematics Use welders, blow torches, drills, saws, and other tools to manufacture tools or parts used in the repair and maintenance of machines and equipment Operate the controls of the machines in order to determine problems and test solutions Read hydraulic drawings and make repairs as needed Work with 480V 3-phase Perform other related duties and assignments as required Hydraulic/pneumatic experience desired

 

Education/Certification Requirements

 

High school diploma or equivalent Trade school degree or equivalent experience in maintenance field preferred

 

Experience and Skill Requirements

 

Requires at least 3 years of experience with the operation and/or repair of plastic injection molding and blow molding machines Requires at least 3 years of experience working with electrical components

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

 

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking/standing Operate hand and power tools, tow motor, high lift, saws, welders, and grinder Work is performed in an industrial production setting
