Maintenance Technician, Electrical/Mechanical
Opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Adient's automotive metal seat frame welding plant in Battle Creek, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance in a production environment. The shift hours for this second shift role are 1:45pm-9:45pm. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + The Maintenance Technician is responsible for fixing equipment as needed, changeovers, PMs and troubleshooting of equipment. + Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting. + Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines. + Working knowledge of PLC's. + Perform quality checks. + Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers. **Education / Experience / Skills** + High School Education or Equivalent (GED). + Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred. **Qualifications** + Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred. Degree or certification from a college or university is required if you do not possess a Journeyman's card. + Previous experience working as a Millwright, Electrician or Machine repair in an automotive manufacturing environment. + Experience working in an automotive sheet metal stamping facility. + Experience with large transfer and progressive dies a plus. + Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework. + Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc. + Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel. + Able to work on 2nd shift ( **Mon - Fri, 1:45pm - 9:45pm** ). **PRIMARY LOCATION** Battle Creek Seating Component ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment.
