About this opportunity:
Cenovus is looking for a Millwright Maintenance Technician. The primary function of this trades position is to provide millwright service to the Lloydminster Ethanol plant, and support Upgrade Complex as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all work under your control is performed in a timely, safe, and effective manner consistent with corporate and site-specific policies, procedures, and guidelines. You will be required to work off a developed maintenance schedule but will also be required to work on priority work depending on plant needs at that time. You will be required provide leads/planners updates on jobs statutes as needed. Support planners on job package development as needed.

Work Environment:
This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area
This is a full-time employee position. Compressed EDO work week, Monday - Friday, 9 hour-days. Each Friday will be 8hrs, every other Friday will be a day off
What you’ll do:
Complete repairs on various equipment within the Lloydminster Ethanol facility such as but not limited to, conveyer, centrifugal pumps, chemical pumps, rotary dryers, cooling towers, HVAC systems. Will support the Lloydminster Upgrader complex as necessary
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
Maintains equipment history records using computer systems (SAP)
General trade knowledge in mechanical seals, alignment, various styles of pumps, compressors, couplings, bearings, conveyors and lubrication
Hoisting and Rigging
Complies with all HS&E requirements in the performance of this position's responsibilities
Work well in a team environment with multi discipline trades under minimal supervision
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
At least 10 years of maintenance and industrial experience in oil and gas as a Journeyman Mechanic, Millwright, or equivalent, with a certificate in one of those disciplines or an equivalent field, an interprovincial Red Seal ticket, and a high school diploma or equivalent will be considered an asset
2+ years with a Saskatchewan Journeyman / Inter provincial Millwright apprenticeship, or heavy duty
Ability to troubleshoot problems, and then formulate and implement short and long term solutions
Work closely with Maintenance Planners to develop maintenance plans, identify tooling and materials for planned work, and ensure both new and existing equipment data is identified and detailed accurately in SAP
Mechanical maintenance and construction experience to ensure equipment is installed and maintained according to the applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations, with the ability to simultaneously handle a variety of work tasks and priorities and make decisions and recommendations on technical issues

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
