Maintenance Technician: 2nd Shift

How you will make contributions that matter...

Perform basic maintenance activities on all manufacturing process equipment in all areas of the plant.Perform basic troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic production and/or packaging equipment as assigned.Perform basic preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.Perform basic adjustments to machinery and work with machine operators on problems to improve quality and efficiency of the lines on every changeover.Monitor the production/packaging lines and report any abnormal condition(s) of the machines to the appropriate individuals (Plant Manager, Supervisor, etc.).Monitor and maintain in optimal operational condition all safety features and systems on the machinery and equipment.Communicate effectively with all employees, supervisors and managers in troubleshooting equipment to ensure minimal equipment downtime and peak equipment efficiency.Adhere to food safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and all safety procedures and policies consistently.Attend and participate in departmental meetings and any other vital employee meetings.Monitor and assist in maintaining parts inventoryPerform other miscellaneous duties and tasks related to this position.Work with A and B level mechanics to gain knowledge and experience to advance.

You are best suited for the role if you…

Fundamental knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts and equipment.Fundamental knowledge of refrigeration and boilers, desirable.Knowledge of food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Basic welding skills.Basic knowledge of PLCs.Basic skills in calculating mathematical equations and formulas.Basic ability to interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams and engineering drawings.Ability to read, write and speak in a proficient manner and communicate effectively.Ability to work with limited supervision and prepare accurate documents.Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work activities and duties.Ability to multitask, adapt and react to interruptions and production changes without losing composure and efficiency.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to work flexible hours.Ability to lift 50 lbs independently.

Salary Range: $ 26.59-28.80
