Maintenance Technician – Forklift, Facilities & Refrigeration Maintenance

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our facility. This position focuses on forklift maintenance, facilities maintenance, and refrigeration system upkeep, along with general equipment repair. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, refrigeration systems, and facility infrastructure while following all company safety policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.Conduct inspections and basic repairs of refrigeration systems to maintain proper functionality.Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical systems, and physical structures.Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components, such as photoelectric sensors, pressure switches, push buttons, and proximity switches in automated sites.Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment performance, reporting findings to leadership.Operate power tools, welding equipment, and motorized lifts for repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:1+ years of experience (or a combination of experience and trade school) in forklift maintenance, facility maintenance, or refrigeration maintenance (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2 systems).Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts following manufacturer and company guidelines.Experience troubleshooting basic refrigeration system components.Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment.Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work in cold storage environments (as low as -20°F) or dry storage areas (up to 100°F).Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, depending on facility requirements.Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends as needed.
