Maintenance Technician - 2nd/3rd Shift

What We Need:
The Maintenance Technician will handle maintenance & repair of parts, equipment, and facility related assets. This individual assists experienced team members with the diagnosis, installation, & repair of more complex issues & systems. The Maintenance Technician is expected to follow all safety rules, communicate both written and orally, and document work activities accurately .
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Safely operate department machine tools, including lathes, mills, band saws, grinders, and table saws.
+ Perform facility maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, masonry, lighting, painting, and repairs on HVAC, compressors, and generators.
+ Fabricate basic parts, guards, and other structures as needed for machine repairs.
+ Conduct mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance on production and facility support equipment.
+ Perform pipe fitting for copper, PVC, and iron pipes.
+ Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, interpreting related diagrams and symbols.
+ Use arc, gas, and wire welding techniques, as well as plasma cutting, brazing, and soldering for fabrication and repairs.
+ Perform spray painting operations, including surface preparation, application, and proper chemical handling.
+ Work with outside vendors and contractors to resolve machine and facility-related issues or improvements.
+ Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, track equipment history, and conduct root cause analysis.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 2 years of mechanical, electrical, or facility related maintenance experience.
+ Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to push/pull 150 lbs.
+ Must be able to climb 23 inches and 20 ladder rungs; frequent standing and walking.
+ Able to work overtime on an as needed basis along with working Saturday on a rotating schedule.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective departmental communication.
+ Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
+ Effective prioritization and time management skills to manage multiple assignments.
+ Proficiency in complex shop math, including calculating areas and determining angles.
+ Experience using AutoCAD.
+ Demonstrate a strong willingness to develop new technical and soft skills to progress in a maintenance career. Ongoing learning and professional development are expected throughout the role.
+ Proactive and independent worker who thrives in a self-directed environment while maintaining a strong focus on customers and team collaboration.
+ Ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
