Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

As one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life. **Your Role at KIK** Join our team as a **2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm),** where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. Bring your expertise and tools to a dynamic environment that values efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement. **This position has an hourly rate starting at $32/hour which is negotiable based on experience and skill set, plus a quarterly operational bonus.** **What You’ll Be Doing** + Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision + Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner + Diagnose and repair electrical problems to include process instrumentation/control systems, 120–480-volt systems, variable speed drives, and experience with PLC designing and troubleshooting is preferred (primarily Allen Bradley but some other systems may also be included) + Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections + Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving + Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments + Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment + Frequently modify packaging & process equipment for new products + Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems. + Operate a mill, lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and all other machine shop tools. **What You’ll Bring** + 2 or more years mechanical/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment + A minimum of a high school education or its equivalent is preferred + Must be flexible to work approximately 44 hours per week and weekend work for repairs when asked + Ability to communicate effectively + Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment- ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs + Excellent Interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills + Time Management and Organization; Ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities **What You Will Get** We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career.
