Maintenance Technician A or B

Duties and Responsibilities:

Install, repair and maintain all equipment andfacilities.  Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipmentand make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. ·Examine and test equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime. Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up andpreventive maintenance records. Review Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement; propose and implement continuous productivity, process and quality improvement actions for all facilities.

Additional Responsibilities:

Facilitate equipment moves on the shop floor. ·  Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, maintainability and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met. ·  Set up requisitions for supplies,equipment and facilities. ·  Participate in the management of the inventory ofspare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime. ·  Keep most recent documentation related to maintenance. ·  All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):

3 Minimum Years of Experience with Maintenance / Engineering. 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry. Must be able and willing to traveland work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing,lifting, or working in confined spaces. ·  Ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic prints.· Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues – 24v dc, 120v, 240v, and 3 phase electronic circuits. Experience operating basic shop tools. ·  High level of mechanical aptitude. Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety and/or complexity, which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment. Ability to work in matrixorganization.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):

Journeyman Electrical License. Experiencetroubleshooting and maintaining a wide variety of equipment including but not limited to – light assembly, plastic welding technology, injection molding machines, slush machines, foam in place equipment, robots. Welding experience. · PLC troubleshooting and programming skills. Excellent Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic circuit troubleshooting.

Required: English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking) 

Work Environment:

Must be able to match the pace of work tothe speed of equipment. Often exposed to distracting sounds and noisy conditions. Exposure to hazardous equipment daily.
